Sunset is the perfect time to dissolve into Leticia Maher’s unique musical world - no longer day and not yet night - a twilight magical place where boundaries dissapear and rare delights await.

The award winning singer-songwriter returns to the Adelaide Fringe in 2012 to present three of her Sunset Soirée shows in new locations. The Soirées are intimate supper show of soulful adult folk-pop, gliding through a spectrum of musical styles.

“Whimsical... Amazing...” says Beat magazine.
“Blissful naiveté... Delightful...” says Independent Weekly.
“Very warm and very classy...” says ABC Radio National.
“Haunting lyrics...” says Scala Inc.
“Toching, sometimes cheeky...” says Melbourne Music.

Expanding on her successful Fringe shows in 2010 and 2011, celebrating the French tradition of sharing music with a slect group of people in a relaxed setting, Leticia will be performing with her trio, which includes Greg Williams on guitar and backing vocals, and Zac Watson on bass.

The Soirées feature over an hour of her award-winning songs from both her albums (Leticia Maher & Fallen Angels) and a sneak peak of songs that will be on her upcoming album, as well as her interpretations of some classic songs.

This year she will host three Sunset Soirées:

  • Fri Mar 9: The White House Provincial Kitchen and Lounge, 90 Main St, Hahndorf (with guest), 7pm.
  • Sat Mar 10: Queen’s Theatre, corner Playhouse Lane & Gilles Arcade, Adelaide, 6pm.
  • Sun Mar 11: The Promethean, 116 Grote St, Adelaide, 5pm.

Leticia is often compared to Eva Cassidy, Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Florence and the Machine, Portishead, Mazzy Star, The Cowboy Junkies, Bic Runga, Joni Mitchell, Jewel and Regina Spector. “Her songs create touching and sometimes cheeky tales of a life well lived,” says Melbourne Music - Melbourne Fringe.
